H5 Document Verification
Latest version: Version 1.3 (Changelog)
Introduction
The Document Verification process involves extracting and validating an individual's information to authenticate their documents. This process is crucial across sectors like finance, healthcare, and government, preventing fraud and maintaining service integrity. Supported by ADVANCE AI, using H5 technology ensures a seamless verification experience, fostering trust, privacy, and data security.
How it works
The Document Verification process involves scanning the designated document within a set timeframe to ensure the acquisition of the clearest and most acceptable document possible. This is crucial for enhancing accuracy in data extraction through OCR and detecting ID forgery in the backend.
In cases where scanning is not feasible or times out, we also offer the option for users to manually take a photo to ensure a seamless continuation of the verification process.
Document Verification process
- Open the H5 Document Verification page so the user can start the H5 Document Verification process.
- The user goes through the Document Verification process as guided, scans the document using a rear camera.
- The Document Verification page will be redirected to returnUrl after completion.
- If the user faces a camera issue, the user can go to the cross-device process.
Cross-device process
If a user cannot complete the Document Verification due to camera issues, the user can continue the verification process through the cross-device process as follows:
-
The Document Verification page shows a cross-device link/QR code when it faces camera issues.
-
The user may copy the cross-device process link or scan the QR code using a secondary device.
-
The user opens the copied link in another browser/device to go through the Document Verification process.
- If the camera function is normal, the user can continue the Document Verification process as guided.
- If the camera function is abnormal, Document Verification fails and the user can try in another browser/device as long as the main-device page is still available.
-
The main-device Document Verification will poll for the status of the cross-device process, the Document Verification process ends once the cross-device process is completed.
